Cost

A deposit of $500 will be required when applicants admitted to the course accept their admission offer.  The balance of tuition will be due by May 15, 2019.   Course fees are non refundable.   Course fees can be paid with credit card, personal check or wire transfer. Once admitted, participants will receive more information about logistics.

The course fees for the 2019 Rx One Health Course will be announced when application period opens in November 2018.  Historically, for a 4-week course, the cost has been $5,000 USD. It may increase slightly for the 2019 offering. We anticipate the 2019 course happening fully in Tanzania.

The course itself does not provide scholarships or offer discounts for students from any country.  However, if you can find a sponsorship, fellowship, or scholarship from another source, you are welcome to apply for the course, and use external funding as a way to cover the fees.  Participants in the past have used diverse and combined funding mechanisms such as government and university scholarships, donor and employer sponsorships, and travel fellowships.

Course fees include all course activities, in country transportation, lodging and 3 meals daily from evening before the course formally begins to the lunch meal on the last day of the course. The course fee excludes transportation to/from Tanzania, visas, snacks, alcohol, laundry or personal items.

Are you a university, donor, government or other institution interested in sponsoring a student to attend Rx One Health?  Please get in touch with our course organizers at rxonehealth@ucdavis.edu.
